From the campus again

The city fortress of Avdat (23rd December, 2007)...see below for details.

The ancient city of Avdat (Oboda): One of the "World Heritage Sites" in Israel... has ruins from first century BC! just 10 km from campus.

Avdat history has Nabatean (1st century BC to 2nd century AD)/ Roman (2nd to 4th century AD) and Christian(Byzantine) (4th to 7th century AD) periods.
