Lithostrotos:

When Pontius Pilate brought Jesus out "sat down on the judge's seat at a place known as the Stone Pavement (which in Aramaic is Gabbatha)" (John 19.14). The Greek word is Lithostrotos. Today, below the Ecco Homo Convent of the Sisters of Sion, excavations have revealed a stone pavement, believed to be the "Lithostrotos" where Jesus had been judged. More recent study has uncovered a water reservoir from Herodian times which served the Antonia fortress. Unfortunately due to lack of time I couldnt see the exact location of lithostrotos. Will catch later....
