Herzliya is a city located on Israel's central coastal strip, just north of Tel Aviv. Named after Theodor Herzl, the founder of modern Zionism, Herzliya is home to many ambassadors and foreign diplomats. The city established in 1924, boasts some of the finest beaches in Israel and a popular destination to the elite.We had a three course lunch at the American Fort. My way of classifying Israel geographically is very crude. Roughly Israel can be divided into three. The green fertile northern region includes Galilee and Golan; with Haifa and Netanya the major cities.
The political, scientific and religious hub of Israel is the central region where you have Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
However, where I reside is the southern part called Negev which has Beer Sheva and Eilat as major cities.
